In 1974, two young and ambitious Greek immigrants, Nick Theofilatos and Jim Lazaratos, risked it all to chase their entrepreneurial dreams. They quietly opened a small manufacturing business on Kamato Road in Mississauga, Ontario with just their hopes and dreams as fuel.

Space Hydraulics has since flourished and has remained true to its origins. Running a family business is no easy task, faced with multiple recessions, inflation, and a competitive landscape, they beat the odds through sheer perseverance and hard work.

50 years later, Space Hydraulics continues to supply North American Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) with custom hydraulic cylinders tailored for their specific application. Our focus then was on quality fabrication and it still is today. Our reputation for quality, service and collaboration has allowed us to work with major manufacturers to help them build solutions, solve problems and forge long-lasting partnerships.
